This is mostly because I have a lot of trouble committing to just about anything. and I stop reading books halfway through constantly.
My goodness I love Sherlock. It's on Netflix if you're interested in checking it out.
Benedict Cumberbatch is downright wonderful at Sherlock Holmes.
Martin Freeman (Bilbo from the spectacular Hobbit movies) is so good as John Watson.
It's got some cheesy montages of Sherlock looking into a microscope, or Sherlock thinking really hard about something, or Watson, getting dumped, but even still it's wildly entertaining.
So that's what been distracting me. That and realizing that I don't really know how to be myself anymore. I don't know if I know how to be happy alone anymore. my partner is working out of the province for several months and I'm looking at it as a great opportunity to do two things to make myself happy.
A.) Get Hot.
I've arranged my bedroom furniture so that I can do Zumba in my bedroom. I've hidden all the junk food and bought some healthy foods that I enjoy. the winter is when i'm the least active. My job allows for some light lifting and a lot of walking around but I don't feel like that's enough to keep me healthy, as I do like the snacks a bit. So when I start feeling less than good about my body, a dietary detox and some good old fashioned Cardio is always my favorite option. Healthy foods and Exercise are the single best way to feel good about yourself.
B.) Learn to do Something.
Either a new language or an instrument. I would like to learn Greek, as I work in a Greek Restaurant and know a lot of people who speak the language fluently. I was potentially offered a musical working partnership by a friend at work. Just some acoustic stuff, Duets, and popular music but along with an opportunity to get some pretty cheap guitar lessons from Anne Devine (the woman who performs in our dining room on Friday and Saturday night at the restaurant*). So I can't decide what to do yet but I don't want to split my focus.
*I work at a wonderful Authentic Greek Restaurant in St. John's Newfoundland, Called Mama Soula's.

Tons of amazing, fresh, made to order meals, everyone can find something they will love! If you live near the area, make an effort to check out Mama Soula's and The Bull and Finch, on Torbay Road, St. John's, NL <3
I plan to update my success periodically. Right now I'm going for a round of Zumba :)
