Make Way for Queen Bambi!

So I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about a new business in St. John's/online. A friend of mine has started Queen Bambi Boutique. This shop is essentially me in a nutshell. Pretty flower and cute animal accessories and Zombie Apocalypse goodness. I've reserved my copy of The Rise Of The General, A fantastic addition to The Walking Dead comic book series, for those who are fans of the comics or television show.
Queen Bambi is a modern day collage of things. I love these kind of shops because you simply never know what you are going to find there. Original pieces that your friends will covet, and you will love showing off.
The other thing I love about Queen Bambi, is the tons of gift ideas. If I see something and I don't immediately want it for myself, it;s because i know it will make an amazing gift to perfectly suit a friend or lovde ones personality or individual style. Serious Check out this shop! and Like them on Facebook today!

CHECK OUT QUEEN BAMBI BOUTIQUE RIGHT NOW!!
quantities are limited and this is your opportunity to score original pieces your friends (and strangers) will wish they found first!!
Mine! but if you hurry you can secure a copy too!!

Lots of really awesome things for lots of different people. Ahh diversity. what a beautiful thing :)

Jersey Bore

Entertainment has become too foolish, for me to not write about it.
Maybe it can be attributed to our love of pushing boundaries and progressing, on some level, but we lost the wheels on that excuse 20 years ago.
I am sure someone wants to quote some stupid newspaper about Elvis being risque, and how we progress as a species, but we've allowed shows like Jersey Shore and Honey Boo Boo to get on television and experience wild success. That's not progress, and we should be ashamed of ourselves. This is the only post that makes me want to curse. Thinking about this gets me all "fired up" as a dbag on Big Brother Canada would say

I don't get what his problem is. Settle down Alberta. guys like you always leave BB half way through. They run out of steam and blow up on some mom/sensitive person. Fucks their whole game. So chill. it's not about ratings, Alberta.

This has to be said (and shared hint!hint!)

Jersey Shore
If you actually enjoy this show, you may have brain damage. If you relate to the characters, or the situations, or anything that anyone says on this "program", you may qualify as mentally retarded. Whats worse is people who enjoyed watching those poor, useless puppets, in a way that they think is ironic and clever.
Newsflash ya douche bag.
If you weren't threatened by people in your life, you wouldn't be so insecure to need to compare yourself to anyone else. You're dumber and worse off that the morons that enjoy the program. Because if you were as smart as you believe you are, you wouldn't have any need to look down your nose at anyone. So (Wo)man up and make the improvements that you need to be happy in your own life, you're not better than anyone and that attitude make you a loser.

2 more mistakes

So I found this new game. It's called League of Legends. A growing number of my friends were starting to play so I wanted to see what the fuss is about.
It's a free to play online game. not unlike WOW in a lot of ways. Pretty fun. If you are into gaming be sure to check it out. The thing that I enjoy the most is etiquette.  Bailing on your team, or leaving before a match is over will get you a warning. doing it again gets you banned for a day. I'm not trying to find out what happens at strike 3 because I am having way too much fun playing this game and I don't want to get banned again :)
Send me any questions, comments or stories at HundredThousandMistakes and remain anonymous if you like! Just remember, boys and girls, hating and trouble making will never get my attention unless it's to show people what an idiot you are So play nice <3
This is Miss Fortune, My most used character. She's a badass!
Share you're LOL Experience!! I'm Still quite a noob :)

What do you want? Jingle Jam on it?

RocketRocketShip put off one of the best live shows I've ever attended last night. As a last minute opener for Pop Heavyweights, Faber Drive, RocketRocketship played with a huge group of amazing people including bands Fighting for Ithaca, Courage My Love, and the very talented Victoria Duffield. If you're not sure who she is, check here out here! She's this generation's Brittany Spears, and she's got a bright future ahead of her! I'm personally a fan.
Courage My Love have videos on youtube, so check them out! So do Fighting For Ithaca! Both really awesome bands full of amazing, fun people, so give them some of your time. You may really enjoy them!

RocketRocketShip Frontman, Jon Pike, took command of the crowd from the moment he stepped onto the stage. Guitarists Paul Brake and Matthew Dines rocked out and brought an unbelievable energy to the stage, providing vocal work, along with Bassist David Shear., (also Drummer, Jeremy Kelly, as well as Keyboardist, Kenney Purchase),The bys kept the crowd amped,  having them participate in their well rounded and enthusiastic performance. This performance shows amazing growth within this band. In every capacity from showmanship to musical sound. A feeling of fun has been recaptured from the spirits that wrote House of Cards and Back Where I Belong. If you weren't in attendance at CLB Armories last night for Jingle Jam, you truly missed out on a performance that i will never forget. Check out the boy's website, follow them on twitter and like them on facebook! My god that sounds so creepy out loud. We're a society of stalkers...anyway do it

Thank You! We Are Proverbial Furniture!

I get bored really quickly. I recently found out I have a 152 IQ. I don't really know what that means but I think it's average. I'm just smart enough to have all the social flaws of Sheldon Cooper without all the adorable charm of Abed Nadir. But I digress. I get bored quickly and will probably change the theme of the blog a lot.
New wallpapers and layouts and such. Just rearranging the proverbial furniture
...Proverbial Furniture. What a great name for a band..
I also rearrange the furniture in my house like once a month. If my bedroom is positioned the same way for too long, I can't sleep in it anymore. Right now I'm suffering from a (sort of common) bout of insomnia and I'm thinking that is why. At any rate. This is my new theme. Let me know what you think at HundredThousandMistakes, you can choose to stay anonymous!
This is where I live. How lucky am I?

Formspring Question #4!

Formspring asked: Do you like to dress glamorous?

A: If I have a reason to. I like having an excuse to wear makeup and do my hair and all that stuff. but 9 times out of tn you will see me out at a live show in jeans and a t-shirt. I'd rather be comfortable, over stylish almost any day.
When I'm uncomfortable I'm distracted and when I'm distracted I don't seem to make a very good impression on people. When I'm comfortable and relaxed, I'm happy and funny and make new friends very easily. So my first priority is always comfort.

Now all that being said I own over 60 pairs of shoes, an at least 3 pairs are covered in glitter. I think I have a very unique sense of style. I don't like to look "hot" I like to look classy and pretty. If I can do that in a t-shirt and jeans then I'm thrilled. If not? I think I clean up ok?

The Littlest Birds Sing the Prettiest Songs

I work this job. with these people who are kind of like me. and a few regular customers who enjoy my company, and being able to have a good, intelligent conversation. And I have one customer (/friend) that I adore. I'm going to call her Shirley because she's strong, and stubborn and protective. I very much admire her.
Shirley and her friends come to my bar at least once a week. They order food that int on the menu* and they drink tons of red wine and they think I'm adorable and smart and I think they're so clever and lovely, and they run up a huge tab and spend lots of money at the restaurant and tip me really well, and drive up my food costs so the kitchen kickback is higher. Everyone is happy.

*I didn't know that ordering food that isn't on the menu was something that made cooks upset. It really really does, but too an extend, I can totally understand why!

So yeah the girls come in, and we all call each other by name and its very friendly and we have a laugh. And at the end of the evening. every single evening. Shirley will bring up in some subtle way that she now plans to go for a walk (By herself, around midnight, downtown) and every week her friends get on her case about it, about how its not safe and how many women get assaulted and all those things and then Shirley insists shes not the kind of woman that gets targeted  and they argue back and forth until they all decide to drop it.

I don't know if she ever actually goes for the walks or not. but the exact same exchange happens like clockwork. Last week I had heard it for the last time and though I was going to dive directly into the shallow end of my mental stability.I went over to the table. The girls are so enchanted by how small and quiet I am. its nothing that I do on purpose, I just don't make much noise. the girls were arguing about victimization of women and blah blah blah and I said

"I don't mean to interrupt. or stick my nose in where it doesn't belong. But I cant help overhearing and I don't hear you're friends trying to put limitations on you. I hear you're friends scared of what they'll do without you. and how much they don't want you to be at risk."

Deer. In. Headlights.
They were stunned. I was their Gandhi, and the problem was solved. They all left together in a cab. nobody walking nobody fighting.

Shirley didn't need to go for a walk, or put herself in danger to feel independent  She just needed to know her friends cared about her. Maybe she never had any intention of going for a walk. Maybe that weekly boost of hearing how much her friends worry about her makes her feel loved.

Maybe that girlfriend who stands behind you through everything, need a pat on the back some times.or that boyfriend who will never let you carry the shopping bags when you go out together. Everyone likes to hear when people appreciate or care about them. So why are we all so hesitant to compliment someone???

This is a fun thing that The Scope does: I often write them, and I really enjoy reading them! Check out I SAW YOU for updates almost daily!

ACTIVITY TIME!
Count of one hand, five people that you think are totally awesome. Now this part is tricky so pay very close attention....TELL THEM! Tell your girlfriend, tell your man, tell the guy who makes your sub perfect, at subway, tell someone who holds the door for you at the mall, anyone who makes your day a little better, even in the tiniest way. Making other people smile is actually highly underrated. It makes you feel really great about yourself <3
